Director: Christine Leichtman
Christine is president and CEO of Lansdale Tutoring & Testing, Inc. and is a licensed teacher.
Christine is passionate about developing the potential that every student has and
believes that teachers can make the most difference in a one-on-one setting.
Her goal is to help students of all ages become independent, life-long learners.
Since 2000, she has overseen operations for Lansdale Tutoring & Testing, Inc.
including: hiring, training and supervising 40 teachers; developing homebound
programs for students in the North Penn, Methacton, Wissahickon and Upper
Dublin School Districts; designing ACT and SAT test prep courses; evaluating
and purchasing evidence-based curriculum; and developing a tutoring program
that supports the goals set forth by the Pennsylvania Department of Education
standards in Mathematics, Reading, Writing and Science. In addition,
Christine teaches French, Spanish, English and Business classes and test
prep courses for ACT and SAT.
From 2000 to 2005, Christine served as administrator for the Classroom Plus
Grant Program awarded by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Under
her guidance, 90 percent of program participants demonstrated significant
measurable progress - defined as improvement by a grade level or more.
Christine is a member of the Education Industry Association and the Lansdale
Business Association, where she serves as co-editor of the newsletter.
She is also active in the community coordinating food and clothing drives
for Manna on Main Street and the local chapter of the American Cancer Research
Foundation and supports the North Penn High School chapter of Students Against
Destructive Decisions (SADD). She was recognized for her entrepreneurial
excellence in 2005 by the Montgomery County Community College's Center
for Workforce Development.
She holds a B.A. in French and Spanish and in 2007 received her M.B.A.
